ENNOWAT
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ENNOWAT processes personal data when you use the ENNOWAT website and AI-powered home repair assistant.
1. Data Controller
ENNOWAT is currently operated as a private beta and is not yet operated by a separately incorporated company.
The data controller is:
Fabio Ferrari
Sint Vitusstraat 90
1211 PK Hilversum
The Netherlands
Privacy contact: privacy@ennowat.com
2. What data ENNOWAT processes
Depending on how you use ENNOWAT, we may process:
- descriptions of household problems and follow-up messages;
- photos or videos that you choose to upload for diagnosis;
- information visible or contained in those photos, videos or messages;
- postcode or approximate location information when you ask ENNOWAT to help identify nearby professionals;
- ratings, feedback and optional comments that you submit;
- technical information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website;
- anonymous and aggregated website analytics information.
3. Why ENNOWAT processes this data
We process information for purposes including:
- analysing the household problem you describe;
- generating AI-assisted repair guidance and safety recommendations;
- maintaining context during an active repair conversation;
- identifying suitable tools, parts or professional services where relevant;
- helping locate nearby professionals when requested;
- collecting beta feedback and improving ENNOWAT;
- maintaining website security and reliability;
- understanding general, anonymous website usage.
4. Legal bases
Depending on the processing activity, ENNOWAT relies on one or more legal bases under the GDPR.
- Performance of a requested service: when you provide information so ENNOWAT can analyse a household problem and respond to your request.
- Legitimate interests: for operating, securing, troubleshooting and improving ENNOWAT, where those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
- Consent: where consent is specifically required by law or for an optional processing activity.
- Legal obligations: where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
5. AI processing
ENNOWAT uses OpenAI API services to provide AI-assisted analysis and responses.
Information submitted for a diagnosis, including text and uploaded visual information where applicable, may therefore be transmitted to and processed by OpenAI for the purpose of generating the requested response.
Under standard OpenAI API data-retention arrangements, API inputs and outputs may be retained for up to 30 days, subject to the applicable service configuration and legal requirements.
Please avoid submitting personal information that is not necessary for diagnosing your household problem.
6. Photos and videos
Photos and videos are processed only when you choose to provide them.
They may contain personal information or information about your home that is unrelated to the repair.
Where reasonably possible, avoid including people, documents, addresses, identification details, computer screens or other unnecessary personal information in media uploaded to ENNOWAT.
7. Repair-case history
ENNOWAT currently does not provide a permanent user account or long-term repair-case archive.
Repair conversation information is used to maintain context while the active repair case is being processed.
ENNOWAT does not currently intentionally maintain a permanent user-accessible archive of diagnosis conversations, photos or videos.
Service providers involved in processing a request may nevertheless retain limited processing or technical data according to their applicable service configurations, security requirements and contractual retention periods.
8. Feedback
If you voluntarily submit feedback, ENNOWAT may store your rating, optional comment, relevant diagnosis information, repair category and the problem description associated with that feedback.
Feedback is used to evaluate and improve the ENNOWAT private beta.
Beta feedback will normally be retained for up to 12 months and may then be deleted or anonymised, unless longer retention is reasonably required for security, legal or dispute-resolution purposes.
9. Website analytics
ENNOWAT uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand general website traffic and usage.
Vercel Web Analytics is designed to operate without tracking cookies and provides ENNOWAT with aggregated and anonymised usage information.
ENNOWAT does not use Vercel Web Analytics to create advertising profiles or identify individual visitors.
10. Service providers and recipients
ENNOWAT uses service providers where necessary to operate the service. These may include:
- OpenAI — AI processing and generation;
- Vercel — website hosting, deployment and web analytics;
- database or infrastructure providers used for beta feedback and technical operation;
- Google services where location-based professional search functionality is used;
- professional service or affiliate platforms where you choose to visit an external provider.
External websites and platforms have their own privacy policies and may act as independent controllers for information that you provide directly to them.
11. International data transfers
Some service providers may process personal data outside the Netherlands or the European Economic Area.
Where required by the GDPR, international transfers are subject to an appropriate legal transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses or another recognised safeguard.
12. Data retention
ENNOWAT follows the principle of data minimisation and aims not to retain personal data longer than necessary.
- Active repair information: processed for the period necessary to provide the current repair interaction.
- OpenAI API processing data: subject to the applicable provider configuration, including standard retention of up to 30 days.
- Beta feedback: normally up to 12 months.
- Technical and security data: retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for operation, reliability, security, troubleshooting or legal obligations.
13. Your GDPR rights
Where applicable, you may have the right to:
- request access to personal data relating to you;
- request correction of inaccurate personal data;
- request deletion of personal data;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to certain processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive certain personal data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
To exercise a privacy right, contact privacy@ennowat.com.
14. Supervisory authority
If you believe your personal data has been processed in violation of applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or another competent European supervisory authority.
15. Children
ENNOWAT is intended as a household repair assistance service for adults and is not intentionally designed to collect personal data from children.
16. Security
ENNOWAT takes reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the current private-beta stage to protect information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
17. Changes to this Privacy Policy
